Challenge
Many aspiring instructional designers lack experience creating screencast videos and often produce recordings that are unstructured, difficult to follow, or not instructionally effective. There was a need for clear, practical guidance on how to plan, record, and deliver high-quality instructional screencasts.
Solution
I designed and developed a screencast video lesson that models best practices while explicitly teaching them. The lesson walks learners through how to plan, set up, and record high-quality screencasts. The approach emphasizes both technical setup and instructional clarity so learners can apply these practices in their own projects.
Result
Learners are equipped with practical strategies to confidently design and develop their own instructional screencast videos. By applying these best practices, they can create clearer, more engaging, and more effective learning experiences.
