Instructional Designer

✨ Learning designed for the real-world. ✨

Hello! I'm Amanda.

I’m an Instructional Designer with over a decade of experience designing creative learning experiences that meet learner needs and drive real-world results.

I believe learning isn’t a one-time event, but the catalyst that helps people change how they live and work. When learning is meaningful and well designed, it creates real-world impact for both the learner and the organization. I design practical, application-based learning experiences that give learners the tools they need to succeed on the job.

My Process

I use the ADDIE model to guide my instructional design process, ensuring every project is structured, intentional, and focused on real-world application.

I start by identifying the business problem, target audience, and performance gap to determine whether training is the right solution. When training is appropriate, I define performance goals, learning outcomes, and training requirements to ensure clear alignment on what learners need to be able to do, not just what they need to know.

I outline the learning experience, including structure, flow, activities, and resources. This can include creating storyboards, scripts, course outlines, and instructional design documents. I focus on creating practical, engaging experiences that support real-world application through collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders.

I build the training materials, including eLearning modules, videos, and job aids. This is where the design is brought to life through clear, learner-friendly content.

I support the delivery of the learning experience, ensuring everything is ready for learners and functions as intended.

I review feedback and outcomes to identify what worked and what can be improved for future iterations.
